We make decisions based on the merits of data and evidence, as opposed to historical practice, relative seniority, or the titles of people involved.
It's about getting to the right answer, not winning arguments or scoring points. If we learn new facts that change our minds, we embrace them.
While there are some things that we need to keep confidential on behalf of our customers and our team, we are biased towards being more transparent with more people sooner.
Beyond the values listed above, we use the phrase “do the right thing,” or DTRT, to remind ourselves to make decisions that we’ll be proud of in the long term. Our rule of thumb is that if we wouldn’t be comfortable with our actions or words being written about on the front page of the newspaper, then we’re not comfortable with it in private either.
Perks & benefits
Make an impact
We give our team members everything they need to make meaningful contributions from day one. Plus, our doors (and ears!) are always open. Have an idea? All-Hands take place monthly, and our CEO hosts weekly office hours. Team members also have the ability to showcase their best ideas during our company-wide Hackathons.
We believe that success should be shared. Each member of our team receives a compensation package that includes a competitive salary, stock options, and a 401K match.
We cover 100% of our team members’ individual medical premiums, and up to 80% for those who have dependents on our plan. Dental, vision, and disability are also covered. Team members are also able to opt-in to our FSA program for savings on medical bills, dependent care, and transportation to and from work.
We know that quality time spent outside the office leads to greater satisfaction at work. This is why we offer our team members unlimited personal flexibility. There are no constraints around time off, and team members are encouraged to work the schedule that best works for them. We trust our team members to DTRT. We also offer 4-weeks of fully-paid leave to all of our new parents.
We’re committed to making Stitch a place where our team members will learn, grow, and succeed. Each team member receives an education stipend of $1,000 per year to use on any resource that furthers their professional development. We also make sure that everyone gives and receives useful feedback on a regular basis. Managers hold regular one-on-ones, and everyone participates in quarterly 360-degree reviews.
Work hard, play hard
One advantage of having amazing coworkers is getting to enjoy each other’s company. Every Friday, our team sits down together for a company-sponsored lunch. At least once a month, we head out as a team to enjoy what Philadelphia has to offer. Recent outings have included bowling, a Phillies game, and axe throwing.
