At eLocal USA, an internet advertising company that helps local businesses find new customers, Chief Technology Officer Rob Di Marco is responsible for managing the development pipeline and the production cloud environment.

eLocal stores transactional data related to customers and their activity in Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL. "We needed a ETL tool to get our data out of multiple RDS databases and into an Amazon Redshift data warehouse," Di Marco says. "We also knew we had plans to integrate Google Analytics and AdWords data, so we wanted a tool that could support them." eLocal uses Looker as its BI tool.

The eLocal team looked at a few different ETL options, including AWS Glue. They also considered building their own home-grown solution. But "Stitch had the right combination of price, ease of use, and feature set," Di Marco says. "It was very simple to get going. We had one person responsible for it and we were up and running in a day.

"We were impressed by how quickly we were able to get up and running with a solid system. Using Stitch saved hundreds of man-hours of development time if we would have had to build it on our own."
