Lola.com

Lola.com provides a SaaS platform for booking, managing, and reporting on corporate travel. It gives employees the ability to book hotels and flights, and gives their companies better visibility into and control over their travel spend. When Operations Manager Sagar Velagala came on board, Lola had a very limited set of data accessible outside of the engineering department. This data was pushed into a few Superset reports via some custom ETL code — and the developers who created that pipeline were no longer at the company.

Velagala began looking at cloud-based ETL platforms that could do the job. "The main criteria were: 'Does this tool integrate with my data sources?' and 'How much does it cost?' Stitch won by a huge margin on price, and supported important sources such as HubSpot, Intercom, and Mixpanel. The process of getting data from various points into our database was seamless, and probably took an hour at most, and we've had to do little to no maintenance since then. From there, everything else was easy, and the reliability of the product has been great."

Today Lola replicates data from multiple sources into a Snowflake data warehouse, models it with dbt, and reports on it using Looker.
